Dimaro
Retro, house and all-round festival sets

The DJ plays the music, a percussionist plays live on top of it. With your own DJ or as a duo with a DJ from my network.
A DJ with a percussionist is a DJ set where a live musician plays rhythms and accents on top of the music. The DJ decides what's played, the percussionist makes it live.
I'm Sam Anderson, a Belgian live percussionist based near Kortrijk. I've played djembe and digital percussion with DJs for more than 18 years, and since 2022 at more than 250 shows. Weddings, corporate events, birthdays, clubs, beach bars and festivals.
How it works in practice: the DJ plays as usual. I join in at chosen moments: in the build of a track, on the drop, on a classic everyone sings along to. My digital percussion runs through the DJ's mixer, the djembe sounds acoustically and through the system. The result sounds like one act, with the energy of a live show.
Live percussion works best over afro house, latin house, retro house and party hits. The digital instruments suit any genre.

The party after dinner, the first dance or the drinks reception. A DJ with a percussionist is wedding entertainment that gets guests aged 8 to 80 onto the dance floor. More on wedding percussionist.
Staff party, New Year reception, kick-off or gala. A live act with clear agreements, invoice and rider. See live act for your corporate event.
A 40th, a garden party or an Ibiza night with afro house. See birthday and private party and Ibiza and afro house night.
This is where I play most: Salito Beach, Kamping Kitsch, Lokerse Feesten. See clubs, beach bars and festivals.

A drummer plays a drum kit with sticks and mainly fills the beat. A percussionist plays hand drums such as djembe, congas and bongos, adding rhythms and accents on top of the DJ's beat. Percussion is lighter, more mobile and suits house and latin better.
No. I agree on style, timing and connections beforehand and follow the DJ during the set. The DJ only needs one free input on the mixer. My rider is sent automatically.
60, 90 or 120 minutes on site depending on the package, split into sets. The DJ plays alone for the rest of the night, so the live percussion stands out each time.
Yes. I'll suggest a DJ from my network based on your music style, date and availability. One point of contact and one proposal.
It depends on your event. Sax brings melody, percussion brings rhythm and movement. Read the honest comparison at sax or percussion.
Yes, with coordination. Digital percussion runs through the DJ's mixer and stays within the same sound budget. More at djembe or digital percussion.
