Percussionist with an LED djembe on a packed dance floor at an evening party

Live act for your staff party

After dinner or the walking dinner the lights go down and the LED djembe enters the room. The starting signal for a dance party everyone joins.

From the table to the dance floor

At a staff party many people stay seated after dinner. Live percussion with the DJ pulls them onto the dance floor.

I play djembe and digital percussion with the DJ at staff parties, year-end parties, summer parties and anniversaries. I play among the guests, on top of the DJ's music, and look for contact. Colleagues who only know each other from meetings end up dancing together.

I have played at corporate evenings in Kasteel Blauwhuis in Izegem, Casino Knokke, Van der Valk Liège and the Verbeke Foundation in Kemzeke, among others.

How the evening goes

The starting signal

After the speeches or dessert the lights go down and I build a short intro with the DJ. Everyone knows: the party starts now.

Sets during the party

I play short sets at the peak moments of the night and switch between the LED djembe and digital percussion, depending on the music.

Among the guests

I play wireless, walk through the room and let colleagues join in for a moment. That gives the photos and videos people talk about the next day.

Questions about a staff party

Question not listed? Send me a message.

Isn't live percussion too loud?

No. The digital percussion runs through the DJ's mixer, so the sound is one whole and stays within the venue's sound limits. I also adapt the djembe to the room.

We don't have a DJ yet. Can you suggest one?

Yes. I play with your DJ or suggest a DJ from my network, the Friends of Sam. You then have one contact for DJ and percussion.

How long do you play?

That depends on the package, from 60 minutes to a full evening with several sets. Extending per hour is possible.

What do you need from the venue?

Only power. Everything is in the technical rider.
